Looking for fried chicken in Turin? Here's the short answer. The rest comes after.

Go to Bully Chicken. Two locations in the city, one in the Lingotto area and one in Barriera di Milano, and one thing nobody else does here: yellow chicken, 100% Italian. In Italian we call it pollo giallo, and we built a whole fast food around it.

Same format you already know. Burger, fries, a drink, a few minutes at the counter. What's inside the bun is a different story.

What is "pollo giallo", and why should you care?

Most fried chicken in the world comes from the same bird: industrial white chicken. Raised to grow fast and cost little. Identical in Turin, in London, in Dubai. Perfect for a global chain. Less perfect for whoever eats it.

Pollo giallo is corn-fed chicken. The yellow isn't the frying and it isn't a colouring: it's what the meat becomes when the bird actually eats corn. The meat is firmer, and it tastes like chicken. Under a crispy coating, inside a burger with melted cheese and sauce, next to the fries. You notice it at the first bite.

Ours is 100% Italian yellow chicken, from Italian suppliers. If you read Italian, everything about it is in our guide cos'è il pollo giallo (what yellow chicken is, and why it's yellow).

"No American knock-offs": the line printed on our box

Every Bully burger comes in a box with three lines printed on it: niente americanate, niente prodotti industriali, niente surgelati. No American knock-offs. No industrial products. Nothing frozen.

We have nothing against the fast food format. We love it. What we don't want is the model that sells the exact same burger in a hundred countries. To pull that off you need a raw material that's the same everywhere and always cheap, and in chicken that has one name only: industrial white chicken.

So we kept the format and changed the chicken. Yellow chicken costs more than white chicken. Every single time. That's the whole point.

Fast food format: yes. American product: no.

The full comparison between the two models, point by point, is in our article (in Italian) on fast food italiano vs americano.

Is there halal fried chicken in Turin?

Yes, and you don't need a separate menu for it. At Bully Chicken the chicken is certified halal in both locations, Via Giordano Bruno 210 and Piazza Respighi 5. Same yellow chicken, same counter, for everyone who walks in.

One honest note, so you can choose before you get to the counter: three burgers come with crispy bacon (Bully Crunch, Bully Hero and Bully Bacon). Bully Crispy, Bully Grill, Bully Wrap and the sides (Strips, Wings, Potatoes and the Basket) have no bacon in the recipe. More on halal and certification, in Italian: pollo halal a Torino.

What to order the first time

Start with the Bully Crispy

Breaded yellow chicken, lettuce, tomato, melted cheese, crispy onion and mayo, in a big sesame bun. No special effects. That's exactly why you taste the chicken.

Want proof? Get the Bully Grill

Grilled chicken strips, lettuce, tomato, melted cheese, ketchup and mayo. No coating to hide behind: if the chicken tasted of nothing, you'd know at the first bite.

Really hungry? Bully Hero

Double breaded chicken, crispy bacon, caramelised onion, lettuce and Algerienne sauce. The one you order when lunch was a long time ago.

Sharing with friends

The Bully Basket is wings, strips and fries together, made for the middle of the table. On their own: Bully Wings, breaded and spiced chicken wings, and Bully Strips, tender breaded chicken strips. Spicy wings are our thing: the story is in hot wings a Torino.

Every burger comes on its own or as a menù: burger, fries and a drink. The full list with ingredients and allergens is on the Bully Chicken menu. It's in Italian, but the photos speak every language.
